A lot is mentioned of creating shareholder value, as if that is the goal of running a business.
You have various stakeholders, sure, but in the end, what is your goal? To be of service to those who need you (and to those who merely want you). Whether that person is a customer or colleague, if your goal is to simply be of service to them, to dedicate what you do to that person, to put a smile upon their face, you have achieved it.
